Greetings from Funstead.org!

This is the June edition of the Funstead.org newsletter

HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY IACT!

President Chester Waters approved that on Saturday June 6th Mr. Dan Telvock, a reporter from the Free Lance Star, will be buzzing around the acres with a photographer. He plans on doing interviews with IACT staff so he can publish an article about the history of IACT for the 40th anniversary (free publicity!). He also expressed an interest to make a day of it and just 'pull over' funsteaders he sees in his travels and chat with them to get their feelings on what Indian Acres means to them. Should you be one of the lucky ones to get interviewed, lets try to give him some positive feed back to help him make this a heart warming article about the wonderful place that Indian Acres is!

REMEMBER to tell all your friends about the updated IACT website (www.indianacres.org) either by word of mouth or send them the link via email - feed back has been VERY positive! If you have any suggestions and/or comments, please take a moment to contact Curtis Duttweiler, Property Administrator.

FOOD DRIVE- was a success! Julie Kishpaugh from Glen 2 and the Volunteer Coordinator from The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank accepted donations from Chester Waters on Monday afternoon. The bin weighed in at a total of 291 POUNDS!! THANK YOU to everyone that came out and supported this special event. As expected, Funsteaders met the challenge and made some very generous donations! NOTE: Plans are being made to hold another drive over the July 4th weekend.

NEWS FLASH!

Calling ALL BEACH BUMS!! The beach area is OPEN! Thank you to the IACT Board of Directors for keeping on top of this project. It took some time and money to get it to this point which started a while back with getting rid of those pesky geese! So come on down and spread out those beach towels, stick your umbrellas in the sand and use the area to your hearts content (no lifeguard on duty - swim at your own risk!). Please remember to dispose of your trash and leave it looking nice for all funsteaders to enjoy.

Election Information:

Would YOU like to run for the Board Of Directors? If so, please pick up a Nominating Packet from the Administration Office. All potential candidates must have their packets completed and turned in by July 1st @ 5PM. Funstead.org can be a useful tool to help interested candidates spread their message. See the Elections tab for more details. There is also a forum category for elections as well. This will be a great place to 'gently debate' issues and candidate platforms for the upcoming elections.
